Carousel
A post of several images or cards a reader swipes through, the format most often saved and least often made well.
It buys attention by asking the reader to do something. Each swipe is a small commitment, and the platform reads the time spent as interest, which is why a carousel routinely out-reaches a single image carrying the same idea.
The first card has to work as a hook and the last has to earn the trip back to the profile. The substance goes in the middle, one idea per card, because a card carrying two gets read as neither.
It is the natural shape for anything with steps, a comparison, or a before and after. It is the wrong shape for anything that is really one image with a long caption.
