Chapter 1
An ordinary Tuesday in admissions season.
The front office never stops. But by evening, the tour calendar for next week still has open slots.
-
7:55 AMVoicemail Hi, do you have openings in pre-K for next fall?
The front office is running morning drop-off. They call back after 11 AM and get voicemail.
-
9:30 AMEmail What’s tuition for first grade, and do you offer financial aid?
Tuition is covered on the tour. That afternoon she adds a school that explains it to her list.
-
11:40 AMWebsite form How do you teach reading? How big are the classes?
The reply sends the usual brochure. It says “academic excellence,” like every other school’s.
-
2:30 PMCampus tour We loved it. We’ll talk it over and let you know.
That night she opens your site to show her husband. Nothing she saw on the tour is there.
-
4:00 PMEnd of day 9 family inquiries still unanswered.
Tomorrow starts the same way.
None of them were bad families. They just found another school first.
Chapter 2
Meanwhile, on the other side of the screen.
Emily is 37, just moved to town and is looking for a pre-K for her daughter. She doesn’t know any other parents yet. This is how she looks for you:
She searches on GoogleFrom the couch, at 10:30 PM, after bedtime. She sees three schools nearby.
She opens your siteShe wants two answers: what a pre-K day looks like and how to book a tour. She finds neither.
She goes backThe school across town shows her the day and lets her book a tour. You never hear about it.

Chapter 3
The same night, with your new site.
Emily runs the same search. This time, everything she needed is on your site.
She finds you for what she needsShe lands on your pre-K page, not your home page.
She gets her answersShe sees her daughter’s day, how tuition and aid work and what other parents say. She can picture it.
She books at 11:05 PMFrom the couch, straight into your tour calendar. Your front office sees it in the morning.

That’s what we do: the family that searches at night lands on your tour calendar, not on the one across town.

Marketing for private schools that brings families in for a tour
Families build their shortlist on Google before they ever visit, and tuition makes them compare hard. We build your new site and work your Google profile so they find you, understand your program and book a tour.

What school leaders tell us.
What we hear from heads of school and admissions teams, and what a new site changes.
-
“Families drop us before they ever come for a tour”
What it costs youParents say a hard-to-navigate website can knock a school off their shortlist (Niche, 2024), and you never learn they looked.
What changes with your new siteAdmissions pages with the steps, open house dates and a clear button to book a tour from a phone. -
“Tuition scares families off before they see the value”
What it costs youCost is one of the top reasons parents cut a school from their list (Niche, 2024).
What changes with your new sitePages that explain what tuition covers, financial aid and sibling discounts. The site won’t lower tuition, but families decide knowing the facts. -
“Every school says “academic excellence” and we all sound alike”
What it costs youParents compare activities, class size, safety and other families’ reviews before choosing (Niche, 2024).
What changes with your new sitePages with real examples: how you teach reading, class sizes, student projects and what parents and alumni say. -
“One bad comment from another parent hurts more than any ad”
What it costs youParents say negative feedback from other families would make them drop a school from their list (Niche, 2024).
What changes with your new siteYour side of the story in plain sight: parent testimonials, a cared-for Google profile and calm replies to bad reviews. Review requests carry no rewards, per the FTC.

Marketing for private schools: questions before you hire us
The ones heads of school and admissions directors ask most.
How much does it cost?
We set the price after the diagnosis, which is included and takes 2 business days, based on your grade levels, campuses and languages. The site is billed 50% up front and 50% on delivery, and the monthly plan has a 3-month minimum.
We have a strong reputation. Do we need this?
Your current families know you. New families who just moved in, or who are comparing from scratch, only know what Google and your site tell them.
Our board is careful with spending this year. Is now the time?
Fair question. The site and Google work take months to build up and won’t fix this year’s numbers. They fill the classes of the next cycles, and you can start with admissions and the grades with the most openings.
Do COPPA and photo rules affect our site?
If a form collects data from children under 13, COPPA requires verifiable parental consent first, so we build inquiry forms for parents to fill in. Student photos go up only with signed releases.
Can we be ready before admissions season?
A new site or a redesign of your current one takes about a month, depending on its size. A small school that needs something simpler can start with our Launch site, ready in 2 to 3 weeks. It pays to start well before applications open.
Will it work with the software we already use?
Yes. When your system, such as FACTS, Veracross or Blackbaud, accepts outside inquiries, the form sends them straight to your admissions office. A custom system is quoted separately.
Do you also build custom software?
Yes: an admissions funnel with tour scheduling, a tuition estimator with sibling discounts or a family portal. That’s a separate conversation and a separate quote, apart from the site.
