Chapter 1
An ordinary Saturday at your dealership.
The lot is busy, your salespeople don’t stop and the phones keep ringing. By closing, nobody has signed.
-
8:50 AMText Is the 2021 F-150 still available? What’s the out-the-door price?
It came in at 11:10 PM last night. Someone replies at 10 AM, after he has texted other lots.
-
10:40 AMWebsite form What would you give me for my 2015 Corolla?
No mileage, no photos. While someone asks for details, an online tool gives him an instant offer.
-
12:15 PMMissed call Do you finance? What would my monthly payment be?
Everyone is with buyers on the lot. By the callback, he’s prequalified somewhere else.
-
4:00 PMOn the lot Looks good. Let me do a little more research.
At home he searches your dealership name plus “reviews.” He finds almost nothing from you.
-
7:00 PMEnd of day 4 buyers. No deals.
And the Civic you sold on Tuesday is still listed online.
None of them were tire kickers. They just found someone else first.
Chapter 2
Meanwhile, on the other side of the screen.
Mike is 34, has a 2015 Corolla to trade in and a second kid on the way. He needs something bigger and is scared of getting burned. This is how he looks for you:
He searches on GoogleFrom the couch, at 10:20 PM. He sees three dealers a few miles away.
He opens your siteHe wants the price, the payment and a trade-in value. He finds photos and “call for price.”
He goes backThe dealer down the road shows price, payment and trade-in. You never hear about it.

Chapter 3
The same night, with your new site.
Mike runs the same search. This time, your site answers everything before he has to ask.
He finds you for what he needsHe lands on your used SUV page, not your home page.
He gets his answersHe sees the price, how financing works and that you’re a real, established dealer. The fear eases.
He books at 10:50 PMFrom the couch. Your salesperson knows which vehicle he wants and what he’s trading before he arrives.

That’s what we do: the buyer who searches at night ends up on your lot, not the one down the road.

Marketing for car dealerships that brings buyers straight to your lot
Buyers shop several dealers at once, often at night, and the big marketplaces own most of the window. We build your new site and work your Google profile so buyers find you, see clear prices and financing, and reach out.

Sound familiar?
What independent dealers tell us.
What we hear from pre-owned dealers, and what a new site changes.
-
“Leads come in at night, and if we don’t answer fast, they’re gone”
What it costs youBuyers contact several dealers at once, and the first one to answer with price and availability usually gets the visit.
What changes with your new siteEvery vehicle with its own page: price, mileage, photos and financing. A short form tells you what they want and whether they have a trade, so you can prioritize in the morning. -
“The marketplaces own the buyer, and now they buy cars too”
What it costs youMost buyers spend time on third-party marketplaces while they shop (Cox Automotive, 2026), where every listing sits next to hundreds of similar ones, compared on price alone.
What changes with your new siteYour own site with your full inventory and pages by make, model and area. The marketplaces stay, but they stop being the only place you exist. -
“Buyers walk in afraid of getting scammed”
What it costs youThe FTC has warned about cloned dealership websites that take deposits on cars that don’t exist (2026), so buyers check twice before trusting a dealer they don’t know.
What changes with your new siteYour address, real photos of the lot and team, years in business, genuine reviews and a page that explains how buying works, from paperwork to payment. -
“Buyers want to do it all online and my site won’t let them”
What it costs youShoppers who can’t see a payment or apply for credit online move on to a dealer whose site lets them.
What changes with your new siteListings with cash price and financing options, a prequalification form and payment examples that show APR and terms, as Regulation Z requires.
Our own review
We checked independent dealer websites: here is what a buyer sees
On November 4, 2026 we reviewed 4 U.S. independent dealer websites and noted what a buyer finds. It’s a small sample, so we give the counts as they are.
- 3show no prices on their vehicles, so the buyer has to call or write.
- 3show no buyer reviews or testimonials.
- 2have no form to ask about a vehicle or a trade-in.

How we work with independent dealers
Three steps, with dates.
Diagnosis in 2 days
We review your site, your Google profile and the dealers near you, and tell you what’s losing you sales. Included in the plan.
New site or redesign in about a month
A page per vehicle with price and photos, a trade-in page and a clear way to text or call about each unit. It stays in your name.
Every month, on Google
We work your profile and your pages, and show you the leads, calls and test drives the site brought in, by vehicle.
A catalog your team updates
Novo Tour: three times the conversion with its own catalog
For a travel agency we replaced an expensive booking system with a catalog the team updates without a developer. It’s the same base we would use for your inventory: every vehicle with photos, price and its own page.

- 3x
- site conversion
- +200%
- visits from Google
- No developer
- needed to add each new trip

Monthly leads and calls from the site, by vehicle, kept apart from marketplaces, with next month’s decision.
Every lead that comes in at night and gets an answer the next morning can end up as a deal at another dealer.
Marketing for car dealerships: questions before you hire us
The ones dealer principals and managers ask most.
How much does it cost?
We set the price after the diagnosis, which is included and takes 2 business days, based on inventory size, locations and makes. The site is billed 50% up front and 50% on delivery, and the monthly plan has a 3-month minimum.
We sell through the marketplaces. Who looks at our site?
The buyer who found you on a marketplace and wants to check you’re real before a deposit, and the one searching your name or your area on Google. Marketplaces send traffic while you pay; your site is yours.
We got burned by an agency before. What’s different?
We don’t promise rankings. Each month you see the leads that came from your site and from Google, by vehicle, kept apart from the marketplaces. The domain and the site are in your name.
What rules apply to prices and payments on the site?
Any advertised payment needs the APR and terms (Regulation Z), each used vehicle needs its FTC Buyers Guide, and an advertised price has to be real and current. We write the site within those rules.
How long does it take?
A new site or a redesign of your current one takes about a month, depending on its size. A small lot that needs something simpler can start with our Launch site, ready in 2 to 3 weeks.
Our inventory changes every day. Will we enter it twice?
You shouldn’t. Ideally the site pulls vehicles from the spreadsheet or dealer management system you already use, so a sold unit comes off in one place. If that needs a custom connection, it’s quoted separately.
Do you also build custom software?
Yes: inventory that marks units sold everywhere at once, a trade-in estimator with VIN, mileage and photos, or a payment calculator with the right disclosures. That’s a separate conversation and a separate quote, apart from the site.
