Chapter 1
An ordinary Monday at your practice.
It’s Monday, the day everyone wants to start. You’re in sessions all morning and the phone keeps ringing.
-
8:05 AMVoicemail Hi, are you in-network with my insurance?
You call back at 1 PM and get her voicemail. By then she has booked through a telehealth app that lists her plan.
-
10:20 AMWebsite form How much is a session if I pay out of pocket?
You reply with a rate, with nothing about what a first visit includes. Next to free meal plans online, it looks expensive.
-
12:40 PMMissed call My doctor says I’m prediabetic. Can I see someone this week?
You’re with a client by video. By the time you call back, she has an appointment elsewhere.
-
3:30 PMIn session So how fast will I lose 20 pounds?
You explain you can’t promise that. She leaves unsure and doesn’t book a follow-up.
-
6:00 PMEnd of day 4 people who went elsewhere or didn’t come back.
Next Monday starts the same way.
None of them were bad clients. They just found another answer first.
Chapter 2
Meanwhile, on the other side of the screen.
Jessica is 38, just learned she’s prediabetic and wants a dietitian her insurance covers. This is how she looks for you:
She searches on GoogleFrom the couch, at 9:50 PM. She sees three options.
She opens your siteShe wants to know if you take her plan and work with prediabetes. She finds neither.
She goes backThe practice next door lists her plan and its credentials and lets her book. You never hear about it.

Chapter 3
The same night, with your new site.
Jessica runs the same search. This time, what she needed is on your site.
She finds you for what she needsShe lands on your prediabetes page, not your home page.
She gets her answersShe sees her plan listed, your credentials and what the first visit covers. She knows she’s in good hands.
She books at 10:21 PMFrom the couch, straight into your calendar, through a secure booking tool. You see it in the morning.

That’s what we do: the client who searches at night ends up in your calendar, not an app’s.

Dietitian marketing that fills your calendar with first visits
Apps list in-network dietitians first, and unlicensed influencers give away meal plans. We build your new site and work your Google profile so people find you for what you treat, see your credentials and book.

Sound familiar?
What dietitians in private practice tell us.
What we hear from RDs who run their own practice, and what a new site changes.
-
“I post all the time and it doesn’t turn into bookings”
What it costs youOne RD told Today’s Dietitian in 2011 she spent “thousands of dollars on advertising that never brought me one client.”
What changes with your new siteA page for each focus, like prediabetes, sports nutrition or pregnancy, for people already searching for help. Social media becomes the shop window that leads to booking. -
“I compete with unlicensed influencers, and now with AI”
What it costs youNon-RD bloggers lean on fear appeals and alternative medicine, as Today’s Dietitian reported in 2024.
What changes with your new siteThe site shows what an influencer doesn’t have: your name, credentials, state license and approach. Signed articles that answer real questions, so Google and AI tools can cite you. -
“Credentialing takes months, and people want someone in-network”
What it costs youCredentialing can take several months, and RDs call insurance billing “time consuming and frustrating” (Today’s Dietitian).
What changes with your new siteA page for each plan you accept and each state where you’re licensed, so people searching for in-network care find you before an app does. It won’t fix billing. -
“Clients come once or twice and disappear”
What it costs youEmpty slots, and clients who never reach their goals don’t refer friends.
What changes with your new sitePages that set real expectations before the first visit and spell out your cancellation policy. Automated reminders are a separate system.
Our own review
We checked 9 dietitian websites: here is what a client sees
On November 4, 2026 we opened 9 U.S. dietitian practice websites and noted what someone looking for help finds.
- 9 of 9don’t say which insurance plans they accept, so the client has to call and ask.
- 4 of 9show no reviews or testimonials on the site.
- 2 of 9show a footer year of 2023 or earlier, so they look out of date.

Dietitian marketing: questions before you hire us
The ones RDs in private practice ask most.
How much does it cost?
We set the price after the diagnosis, which is included and takes 2 business days, based on your focus areas and the states you cover. The site is billed 50% up front and 50% on delivery, and the monthly plan has a 3-month minimum.
I already have Instagram. Why a site?
Instagram works for people who already follow you. Someone searching Google for a dietitian who takes their plan never sees your profile. The site gives Instagram a place to send them.
I’d rather join an app that sends me clients. Why not?
It’s a valid option, but the client belongs to the platform. Your own site builds a source of clients that doesn’t depend on someone else’s rules, and the two can coexist.
Will the site follow HIPAA and FTC rules?
Forms and booking run on vendors that sign a BAA, with no ad tracking on booking or client portal pages. Testimonials can’t mislead and weight-loss claims need scientific backing, per the FTC, so we build on your approach and credentials.
How long does it take?
A new site or a redesign of your current one takes about a month, depending on its size. A solo practice that needs something simpler can start with our Launch site, ready in 2 to 3 weeks.
Will it work with the software I already use?
Yes. The booking button links to the secure scheduling and intake of Healthie, SimplePractice or your current software. A custom system is quoted separately.
Do you also build custom software?
Yes: scheduling with reminders, a client portal with plans and food logs, or intake and superbills connected to your EHR. That’s a separate conversation and a separate quote, apart from the site.
