Tonight someone types “therapist for anxiety near me” and decides in a minute. We help them choose you.

Chapter 1
An ordinary Wednesday at your practice.
Back-to-back sessions, phone on silent. Ten minutes between clients for everything else.
-
8:50 AMVoicemail Hi, do you see teenagers? It’s for my 15-year-old.
You’re in session until 9:50 AM. When you call back, she has left messages with five other therapists, and one picked up.
-
11:50 AMWebsite form Are you in-network with my plan, or private pay only?
Your site doesn’t say. You reply between sessions. No answer.
-
1:15 PMEmail Found you on a directory. Do you offer telehealth in Spanish?
It lands among directory notifications. You see it that night.
-
4:30 PMIn session Can we go every other week for now? Money’s tight.
A client moves to biweekly. A Wednesday slot opens up.
-
7:00 PMEnd of day 5 new inquiries still waiting for a reply.
And an open slot nobody knows about.
None of them were the wrong fit. Another therapist just answered first.
Chapter 2
Meanwhile, on the other side of the screen.
Emily is 34. She has been waking up with a tight chest for months, and this week she had a panic attack on the train. Tonight she decides to ask for help. This is how she looks for you:
She searches on GoogleFrom bed, at 10:50 PM. She sees three options nearby.
She opens your siteShe wants two answers: whether you work with what she’s going through and how she would pay. She finds neither.
She goes backThe practice next door tells her who they work with and lets her reach out. You never hear about it.

Chapter 3
The same night, with your new site.
Emily runs the same search. This time, your site tells her what she needed to know.
She finds you for what she needsShe lands on your anxiety page, not your home page.
She gets her answersShe sees who she’d work with, their license, how they work and what the first session involves. No testimonials, no promises.
She reaches out at 11:20 PMFrom bed, through a secure booking tool that asks only for the basics. You see it in your schedule in the morning.

That’s what we do: the person who searches at night ends up in your schedule, not another therapist’s.

Marketing for therapists built for first sessions, ethically
Directory referrals dry up, and the right clients can’t tell how you work. We build your new site and work your Google profile so people looking for what you do find you, understand your approach and request a first session, with no client data reaching an ad platform.

Sound familiar?
What therapists tell us.
What we hear from therapists and group practice owners, and what a new site changes.
-
“I depend on a directory that stopped sending me clients”
What it costs youOne therapist said her directory referrals fell by about half; another went from the first page for their zip code to page 6 or 7 (ClearHealthCosts, 2025).
What changes with your new siteA site of your own with pages by concern and population, plus your Google profile: a channel that doesn’t change when a directory’s algorithm does. The directory can stay as a backup. -
“I need more private-pay clients”
What it costs you34% of psychologists don’t accept any insurance, and 82% of those who left or never joined networks cite low reimbursement (APA, 2024).
What changes with your new sitePages for the services you want to grow, for people already looking for a private-pay therapist. The site won’t change what insurers pay, but it helps you rely on them less. -
“I don’t know how to market myself without crossing an ethics line”
What it costs youIn 2023 the FTC ordered an online therapy platform to pay $7.8 million for sharing mental health answers with advertising platforms.
What changes with your new siteEducational content that gets found with no testimonials and no promises, a minimal contact form from a vendor that signs a BAA, and no ad tracking on contact or booking pages. -
“I get inquiries that aren’t a fit”
What it costs youClients call several therapists at once, because “dozens of phone calls to providers often yield no response” (Insurify, 2023), and you spend hours screening people you’ll refer out.
What changes with your new siteA site that says clearly who you work with: ages, concerns, approach, telehealth or in person, language and payment. Inquiries arrive better matched.
Our own review
We checked 12 therapy websites: here is what a client sees
On November 4, 2026 we opened 12 U.S. therapy practice websites and noted what someone looking to start therapy finds.
- 11 of 12don’t list any insurance plans, so clients have to call and ask how they’d pay.
- 7 of 12have no contact form for a first message.
- 3 of 12have no tap-to-call button for clients on a phone.

How we work with therapists
Three steps, with dates.
Diagnosis in 2 days
We review your site, your Google profile and the therapists near you, and tell you what’s costing you first sessions. Included in the plan.
New site or redesign in 2 to 3 weeks
A page per concern you treat, your license in plain sight and a secure way to request a session. It stays in your name.
Every month, on Google
We work your profile and your pages, and show you the first-session requests the site brought in, with no ad tracking on your forms.
A wellness brand case
Verigoodlife: a wellness brand that runs with no manual steps
We rebuilt the store of a nutrition coach. Sessions and programs are delivered on their own after each purchase. It’s the same base we would use to send the booking confirmation and telehealth link with no back-and-forth.

One plan
Marketing for therapists, in one plan
Your own site and Google work for the person searching for help with what you treat, nearby or over telehealth.
What you’re after“More first sessions with the clients I want to work with, without feeling like I’m selling.”
- 01
Launch Route
Your new site, with a page per concern and your license in plain sight, delivered in stages with dates.
- 02
Profile That Sells
Your Google profile with modality, hours and office photos, and review replies that never confirm anyone is a client.
- 03
9-Signal Check
The nine things a client checks before choosing you on Google, measured before and after.
- 04
Plain Report
Monthly first-session requests from the site, counted without ad tracking, with next month’s decision.
Every person who can’t tell if you treat what they’re going through reaches out to another therapist, and your schedule keeps depending on a directory.
Marketing for therapists: questions before you hire us
The ones solo therapists and group practice owners ask most.
How much does it cost?
We set the price after the diagnosis, which is included and takes 2 business days, based on whether you’re solo or a group and how you see clients. The site is billed 50% up front and 50% on delivery, and the monthly plan has a 3-month minimum.
I don’t want to sell myself. Therapy isn’t a product.
The site doesn’t sell: it explains who you work with and how, so the right person finds you. It does what a referral does, in writing.
I already pay for Psychology Today. Do I need this?
No need to drop it. Your site is the channel that doesn’t change when the directory’s algorithm does, and referred clients look you up there before calling.
Will the site follow HIPAA and the APA ethics code?
Forms and booking run on vendors that sign a BAA, with no ad tracking on contact or booking pages, following HHS guidance. Per APA Standard 5.05 we never ask current clients for testimonials, and the copy makes no promises.
How long does it take?
A new site or a redesign of your current one is ready in 2 to 3 weeks. A group practice that needs a page per clinician takes about a month.
Will it work with SimplePractice or TherapyNotes?
Yes. The request button leads to your client portal or scheduling in SimplePractice, TherapyNotes or the software you use, or to a secure form from a vendor that signs a BAA. A custom system is quoted separately.
Do you also build custom software?
Yes: a clinician finder for group practices by concern, age and modality, a secure intake form that reaches only your intake coordinator, or booking with an automatic telehealth link. That’s a separate conversation and a separate quote, apart from the site.
